Michael’s real estate story began in the late 1980s, selling and renting apartments in Manhattan. That hands-on experience sparked a deeper understanding of the industry’s complexities and a passion for solving its challenges. In 1993, he wrote and published Gabriel’s Apartment Rental Guide, a bestselling resource that streamlined the apartment search process in New York City. Its success led to the launch of Gabriel’s Apartment Sales Guide, cementing his reputation as a trusted resource for real estate professionals and consumers alike.
In 1995, Michael took his knack for innovation to the next level by founding Gabriels Technology Solutions (GTS). Starting with a listing management platform called the Real Estate Exchange (REX), he replaced the old-school listing rooms with cutting-edge technology that revolutionized inventory tracking and data sharing. By 1996, Michael was breaking new ground in digital marketing through a partnership with AOL, helping brokers and agents reach millions of potential clients online.
As GTS evolved, Michael’s vision broadened. From launching the first real estate portal for The New York Times to creating advanced solutions for major media groups such as Hearst, Cox, and The Home & Garden Network, GTS established itself as a leader in delivering tailored, scalable technology for the media industry. The first to deliver online solutions for bringing newspaper print classifieds to the web with real estate, automotive, jobs, and general shopping software, GTS expanded to providing products for nearly all major newspapers in the U.S., and internationally.
Over time, Michael introduced innovative platforms designed for internationally renowned brokerage brands such as Sotheby’s International Realty, across global markets serving 50 states and 85 countries worldwide. These cutting-edge solutions equip brokers and agents with the resources to thrive in competitive and fast-paced environments, earning widespread recognition for their exceptional impact and performance.
